This carving started as a 2.5” thick Black Walnut slab with quite a few voids and defects really dictating the direction that the carves went. This resulted in one of my favorite cave designs and one a little more wavy cave designs, including a radical bug hole that was worked into the design.

Measures 16” tall and 14” wide in the pictured orientation. This piece is intended to live on a shelf or flat surface.
